Understanding the Role of Justice in Healthy Communities

The GRIL U teens began their final teaching cycle on understanding community leadership through justice.  They met on March 11 as a group to learn about what a healthy community looks like, what the capacity of a community is through the understanding of leading assets rather than needs and finally learning what a teen’s role is in causing change in the community.  Their time together ended with a panel of GRIL U alumni who came to share about their work in the community and to encourage the young leaders as they grow and commit to being community leaders.

Today reminded me so much of the work we do.  The power that was in the room today – participants and alumni who came back to encourage and bring hope to the group.  The alumni who came today are doing BIG things – they are walking in their purpose and leading to cause change in the community.  I was amazed and in awe of these change makers!  Join us and the work God is doing to grow and walk alongside change makers!!
