Area Teens Graduate College

In a time where many of our urban teens are known to drop out of high school, GRIL (Grand Rapids Initiative for Leaders) is proud to announce the college graduations of three of our GRIL U teen leadership program graduates!

Mario Adkins graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies (Honors).  He will begin working on his Masters’ Degree in Higher Education at GVSU with an emphasis in College Student Affairs Leadership.  As a graduate student, Mario will work as a Research Assistant Analyst in Teacher Education.  Mario graduates from the GRIL U teen leadership program in 2007 through the Tall Turf Ministries’ LIT program  (www.tallturf.org).

Jordana Seebeck graduated from GVSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a Sociology Minor.  She plans to pursue her Masters of Social Work at GVSU starting this summer.  Jordana graduated from the GRIL U leadership program in 2007 and 2008 through Madison Square Church (www.madisonsquarechurch.org) and Navigators’ Ministry in Grand Rapids.

Terrill Charleston graduated from GRCC with an Associate’s degree in Business Education.  Terrill plans to work towards his Bachelors at Davenport University in the fall.  Terrill graduated from the GRIL U program in 2008 through Jubilee Jobs, Inc. (www.jubileejobsgr.org)
