interdependence (800x533)

We’ve been talking about the Core Value of Interdependence over the past month.  As a reminder:

The church is the community of God’s people-a community with a divine purpose, abundant gifts, and a place for everyone to belong and to serve. The core value of Interdependence stresses the importance of living in community, acknowledging and relying on all of God’s people, and collaborating effectively with its talented and committed members.  (From the DeVos Uban Leadership Core Values)

Here’s another quote for you to think through regarding Interdependence:

“If you want to go fast, you go alone. If you want to go far, you go together.” – African Proverb

Also some scripture:

“Two people can accomplish more than twice as much as one; they get a better return for their labor. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But people who are alone when they fall are in real trouble. And on a cold night, two under the same blanket can gain warmth from each other. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back to back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”  Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Go and live as Interdependent leaders!
