The GRIL U teens met on Saturday for their first of two all day trainings on what it means to be cross cultural leaders. In the morning, the teens participated in an activity that dealt with the definition of power. In the afternoon they learned about the definition of the word ‘race’ and its history. They also participated in an ‘I am’ activity which helped them understand and share who they are. They created a ‘Wall of History’ where they created a timeline of ‘racism’ and ‘resistance’. Finally they ended the day being reminded that their ultimate identity is in Christ.
