The GRIL U teens gathered on Tuesday night to learn about how to be an empowering leader in their home, school, church and in the city. They learned the difference in impact as leaders when we live this core value out. The teens learned more about empowerment through various activities and examples.
At the end of the session, the teens wrote down two things they could immediately do at home, at school, in their ministries and in the city to empower those around them.
Here are some of their commitments:
- At home, I will do the dishes without being asked.
- At school, I won’t give out the answers anymore. I will make sure to help people learn the assignments.
- Next week on Thanksgiving, I am going to help out at a shelter
- In the community, I am going to rake my neighbors’ yard without asking for money.
