The GRIL U teens spent the week of January 2 logging their time – for each 1/2 hour they recorded what they did (social media, study, be with friends, extracurricular activities, eat, sleep, go to school, etc). This past week, they totaled where they spent their time that week. It is often at this training that you hear them saying; “now I see why I’m not doing well in school – I’m only spending 20 hours doing (social media, talking on the phone, watching TV, etc). Part of the work the teens will continue doing over the rest of the month includes identifying their priorities, reconfiguring their weeks to reflect those priorities. It is during this time that the teens begin to make those key changes that will move them towards better time management and more importantly, being balanced leaders. If you were to log your hours for a week, what surprises would you see? When we look at what we say our priorities are, will we see them reflected in this log? Take a few minutes to reflect on your life. How is God challenging you today to live as balanced people and leaders?
