This summer, Jevon Willis, Program Director, from GR Initiative for Leaders has been teaching their recently written ACTIVATE curriculum to High School students from Tall Turf Ministries and Madison Square Church. GRIL’s ACTIVATE social justice curriculum challenges students to identify injustices in the city and equips them with tools and strategies that they will then use for positive impact in the areas they’ve identified.
This hand’s on learning experience creates both awareness and a positive peer culture for students to be challenged and to have success in creating community awareness about identified social justice issues. Look for more updates as students move forward in identifying and researching areas of interest this summer.
