On Friday and Saturday the GRIL U teens gathered for their opening retreat. What an amazing group we will be working with this year! A few highlights from the weekend included teens creating a definition of leadership (influence + responsibility), defining the qualities they wanted to commit to living out as leaders (perseverance, integrity and sacrifice), as well learning that although leaders need to ‘do’ most importantly they need to ‘be’. It was amazing how much these young leaders were really willing to go deep in ‘being’ God’s child this weekend! Grand Rapids – get ready – they are ready to change this city!
