On October 27, a group of people began their journey to Liberia. Included in that trip were two GRIL U alumni, Marcus and LeMarr.
LeMarr’s focus for the trip is on Youth & The Arts: “I wish to go to Liberia to expand my horizons. For more than 20 years my backyard has been my boundary. I haven’t been able to immerse myself in other cultures. Of course I have exposure to my culture and the cultures that visit me, but this trip will change that! I will have the opportunity to go beyond my boundaries and experience, first hand another culture. I can learn and exchange cultural information that can help me become a better ambassador for Christ as he calls me and our team to be reconcilers and bridge builders. I am eager to see how GOD will bless this trip and everyone who is involved, whether the donors, our hosts, or the delegation. I know that GOD will use this trip as a learning and growing experience for all of us.”
Marcus will focus on videography: “I can’t imagine how my life will be transformed by my experience in Liberia. I believe I’m always on a journey, learning who I am and what I’m supposed to be doing with my life. It’s not by chance that God moved mountains in order for me to be able to make it on this trip, and now I’m ready to see what he has in store for me while I’m in Liberia.”
Pray for them while they are on this journey!!!
