Meet GRIL U graduate, RaeNosa Hudnell

RaeNosa

RaeNosa participated in the GRIL U program in partnership with Tall Turf Ministries.  She recalls that her fondest memory is the monthly all-regions, when students from all GRIL U sites would come together for leadership activities and discipleship.  “I was an odd ball in high school so being able to be around like-minded young leaders was great.”

“The thing that had the most impact on me was learning how to be a balanced leader.  I figured out that I can sometimes have tunnel vision when I am focused on something.  I can neglect other things because I am so focused on a goal.”  RaeNosa’s short term goal is to attend graduate school.  She graduated from Calvin College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in English with a focus on writing.  Her long term goal is to be the editor of a magazine.

RaeNosa uses her passion for writing to inspire women of color and educate people on issues that they may not know women of color face.  Check out her blog, She’s Been Kissed By the Sun.

Recently, RaeNosa was accepted into the Boston Match Fellowship Program.  She will be a tutor for middle school students in Boston’s inner city for one year.
