The Adult Emerge participants are working hard on their breakthrough plans.
The GRIL U teens are in the middle of using their voices to raise awareness through Silent Demonstrations. The Madison young leaders raised awareness on the 19th at the corner of Hall and Madison with a focus on the environment. A few of the adult Emerge participants joined in to help these young leaders. GRIL U leader Christy Knetsch shares: “Our GRIL U group had an awesome silent demonstration to raise awareness about environmental justice, particularly lead poisoning, radon, climate change and vapor plume. They researched like mad and taught the adults in GRIL’s Emerge Adult Program some facts including how 49507 has the highest rate of lead poisoning in the state of Michigan. “
