This week in GRIL U, the teens used Scenario Planning, a tool that challenges leaders to ‘remember their futures’ by creating stories of their futures. Why do we teach this piece? We know we can’t create our futures – God and our choices play a major role in that. We also know that despite the uncertainties in life, we can still make good plans that will make us successful in a variety of possible futures.
In the training, the teens will write 3 stories for themselves. They will create the perfect story of their future (from the perspective of where they are at 20 years from now). They will also write a story that is good (but not perfect) and then they will write an ugly story of where they don’t want to be in the future. This challenges them to realize that possibly, due to poor.
