The GRIL U teens are currently in a space of dreaming out their best future. A few weeks ago they went through a Real Life Simulation. During that simulation they each had a goal of either signing up for college or finding a job, finding housing, opening up a bank account, and so many other exciting things that happen in adult lives. 🙂 In this simulation they began to realize the power of decision making, choices and all of the different factors that have impact on lives. Since the simulation they have begun the work of writing their stories 20 years out – thinking through those driving forces they experienced in the simulation and dealing with the questions that matter. From this experience they will begin writing their 1, 5 and 10 year goals. I don’t know if you remember what you were like in high school – for many, thinking and dreaming about the future is hard work. Beginning to take the time to see your life in the future, your impact and so on gives way to purpose and hope. Have you been dreaming and thinking about your future?
